I have 2 Dark Angels; can I steal my enemy’s card?

You can only steal a card from your enemy when it is your turn. You can either pick up a card from the deck or play Dark Angels from your hand – you cannot do both in 1 turn.

There are 2 ways to steal your enemy’s cards: by playing Dark Angels or by ‘daring’ your enemy. You can dare your enemy once per round and you must do this before you pick up or play a card. You dare your enemy based on the strength of your army. If they do not accept, they lose 10 years. If they accept and lose, they lose 30 years, and you can steal 2 of their overturned cards. However, if they accept and win, you lose 30 years, and they can steal 2 of your cards.

I completed a combo; can I finish the game in the first round?

No, every player must pick up at least 1 card. If you have a winning combo, you must wait until the 2nd round to play your cards and win the game.

How can I steal my enemy's card?

When you play 2 Dark Angels, you can steal 1 of your enemy’s overturned cards. If 1 of your Dark Angels is a Kharon, or if you play 3 Dark Angels together, you can steal 2 of your enemy’s overturned cards. If you play 3 Dark Angels, and 1 of these Dark Angels is a Kharon, you can steal 3 of your enemy’s overturned cards.

Can I make the combo 2 Wizards + coloured gem and an Extra Gem?

No. The Wizards' combo is only possible with 2 Wizards plus 2 gems of the same color: Black, Red, White or Blue. You cannot make this combo using an Extra Gem.

Can I make a combo with 4 Dark Angels?

Yes but in a particular scenario. If one of your opponents has collected at least two more sets of coloured gems than you, you can force a draw and end the game by playing four Dark Angels.

Can I collect the same combination of gems more than once in a game to win the round?

Yes. However, each time you collect a colour that you have collected previously, it is worth 20 years less. E.g. the 1st time you collect 4 Black Gems, the combo is worth 100 years, the 2nd time it is worth 80 years etc. The 4th time you collect the same colour combination; you will win the round, but you won’t gain any years. If you collect the same colour combination 5 times or more, you can choose to count the combo as a different colour/s e.g. Blue instead of Black, but you will not gain any years.

I won the round, and I see my enemy had more than 2 different coloured gems in their hand, is there a penalty?

Yes. If at the end of the round, defeated players are found to have more than 2 different coloured gems in their hand (including any cards overturned on the table), they lose 30 years as opposed to the usual 10 years for losing. Extra Gems are not considered different coloured gems in this case.
